Bellus3D Wind-down FAQ

This FAQ provides more detail to the wind down message posted on the Bellus3D website.

  1. When will the Bellus3D apps no longer be available on the App Store for new users to download?

    • On December 1, 2021, the three Bellus3D apps will be removed for download from the App Store.  Your already downloaded version will continue to work, subject to the other constraints outlined in this FAQ.

  2. Can I export the face models that are in my account?

    • For Dental Pro, you can export as long as your Advanced subscription is active.  We will stop the ability to sign up and auto renew monthly in-app subscriptions on March 1, 2022.  As your in-app subscription runs out, you will no longer be able to export face models.  We suggest you export any face models you want to keep prior to your monthly subscription period ends.  

    • For Dental Pro, if you have an annual subscription from a reseller, that will continue to work until your subscription period runs out but not later than December 31, 2022. 

    • For FaceApp and Face Maker, you can continue to export face models that are unlocked until the service shuts down on March 31, 2022. 

  3. When will I no longer be able to export mask fitter frames?

    • Mask fitter frame exports are available in FaceApp and Dental Pro.  The in-app purchase of a mask fitter frame for exporting will no longer be available after March 31, 2022.  

  4. Can I delete my account?

    • Yes.  Go to Settings to delete your account.  Note that deleting your account will delete all face models. This step can not be recovered. 

  5. If I have an annual subscription from a reseller, will the Advanced features in Dental Pro stop working?

    • In this case, the Advanced features will continue to work until your annual subscription expires but no later than December 31, 2022.

  6. If I don’t have an annual subscription, can I get one now so I can use Dental Pro advanced features after December 1, 2021?

    • No.  We are no longer selling annual subscriptions.

  7. What will happen to my face models if I don’t delete them?

    • The face models will be automatically deleted after the services have ended.

  8. If I upgrade to a new iPhone will the Bellus3D app transfer to the new iPhone?

    • Generally yes.  If your old iPhone has a Bellus3D app installed, it should transfer to the new iPhone.  There may be some cases where this does not work.

  9. Can I keep using my ARC scan app?

    • Please update to version 1.16.0 from the download page. Starting from this version, there won’t be any Face Cloud function or camera registration requirement.

  10. Will my Windows Dental Pro be affected?

    • Please update to the upcoming version. It will be an all local, stand alone application.
